Valery V. Petroff, Chief Research Fellow at the Institute of Philosophy of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Director of the Centre for Ancient and Mediaeval Philosophy and Science (CAMPaS) at the RAS Institute of Philosophy
His fields of studies include: Ancient and Medieval Philosophy and Science, Antiquity and the Modern World, Russian philosophy, science and literature of the Modernist period. His main academic works include: The Revolution of 1917 in its contemporary literary and philosophical apocalyptics; John Scotus Eriugena: Homily on the Prologue of the Gospel of John; Ontology and method in Byzantine philosophy of the seventh century.
His membership in scholarly societies: Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale, Society for the Promotion of Eriugenian Studies, The International Association for the Humanities.
