
Marco Mancini
Marco Mancini, is Vice-Rector and Professor of Classics at the Sapienza University of Rome , Italy. His primary research interests include languages of the ancient world and philology, with a special focus on Oriental and Western history and comparative linguistics. His representative works include Greco-Iranian Bilinguals in the Sasanian Period , When Scientists Invented a Language: the Pahlavian Language in Nineteenth-Century Philology , etc. He is Co-editor-in-chief of major academic journals such as the Archivio Glottologico Italiano . He was awarded the Knight of Great Cross , the highest award in recognition of service to the Italian Republic.
