
Liu Xiaofeng
Liu Xiaofeng, Professor (tier one), Outstanding Scholar and Distinguished Professor, Wu Yuzhang Chair Professor, and Doctoral Supervisor of Renmin University of China. Liu is the Director of the Academic Committee of the School of Liberal Arts, Director of the Center for Classical Civilization , leading expert of the discipline of literary theory, and Editor-in-chief of The Chinese Journal of Classical Studies . He is the President of The Classical Studies Association of the CASFL (The Chinese Association of Studies of Foreign Literature) and the Founding President of the Chinese Comparative Classical Studies Association .
Prof. Liu Xiaofeng is mainly engaged in the research of Chinese and Western classics, classical political philosophy, and political historiography. His representative works include Delivering and Dallying, The Unbearable Body , The Guidepost of Straus, Classical Studies and the Quarrel of the Ancients and the Moderns, Martin Heidegger and China, An Interpretation of Aristotle’s Poetics, Towards Political Historiography, Study of Ancient Greek Poetry, etc. He has edited textbooks such as Kairos: Reading Greek Text and Commentary and Janus: Reading Latin Text and Commentary and has compiled and translated nearly 100 collections of texts. He has also founded and presided over the large-scale classical academic translation series "Classici et Commentarii ", the Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index (CSSCI) essay compilation Classici et Commentarii and the journal Research in Classics , which have been published over 600 volumes, influencing fields such as literature, philosophy, law, and historiography.
