From Nov 6 to 8, 2024, the first-ever World Conference of Classics, with the theme "Classical Civilizations and the Modern World", jointly held by China and Greece, debuted in Beijing. The event was co-organized by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Ministry of Education of China, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China,  the Ministry of Culture of Greece and the Academy of Athens.
